Elliot Kirk

Funeral Director & Mortician

Elliot was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas, having graduated from Brownwood High School in 1998. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University, receiving a BS degree in Computer Engineering Technology.

At the age of 24, he graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the state of Texas since 2004. Elliot started his career in the funeral profession working for one of the largest funeral home corporations for seven years. He would later establish a family-operated funeral home, Kirk Family Funeral Homes, Inc.

In 2005, Elliot opened Baker-Kirk Mortuary in Coleman, Texas, along with his family. In 2008, Dove Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. In 2010, Brownwood Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas. In 2018, North’s Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. In 2018, Big Country Crematory in Brownwood, Texas.

Elliot's commitment to the community extends beyond his professional life. Elliot is a member of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce, and the Abilene Black Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

He is married to Brittiany Robertson-Kirk, and together, they have a son, Elijah T. Kirk. Elliot’s whole family has been involved in the operation of Kirk Family Funeral Homes, Inc. since its conception, including his parents, Ernest and Adelia Kirk. Together, they see their professional work as a ministry of serving the families of the entire Big Country, along with their professional staff, with whom they work closely and consider family.

Elliot enjoys spending time with his family, helping families, riding motorcycles, camping, boating, and fishing.

Jennifer Loza

Administrative Assistant, Funeral Director, & Prearrangement Counselor

Jennifer Loza of Abilene, Texas completed her high school education in 2009. She married Raymond Loza Jr. in 2012. The couple share four amazing children together: Adrian, Raymond III, Abriella, and Raelynn Loza.

Jennifer’s career in funeral service started in October 2017. She became licensed by the state of Texas as a preneed agent in March 2020. Jennifer graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in May 2021 and became a licensed funeral director in December 2021.

Jennifer is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoys camping with her husband and children, backyard barbecues, and playing co-ed softball in her spare time. Jennifer attends Connect Church of Abilene, Texas.
