Yvanda G. Browne, age 66, passed away on June 4, 2026, in Mesquite, Texas. Yvanda was born in Stephenville, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of the late Roger B. Moore and Esther Hester-Moore. Yvanda worked many jobs throughout her life, but found her calling as a cook. She later relocated from Dover, Delaware to Dallas, Texas, and began a 17 year career at Valero and retired as a store manager.
Yvanda will be remembered for her love of cooking and for the joy she found in card games like Biz Wiz, spades, and dominoes
She is survived by her aunt, Zelda Cook, and Claudine Holman. She leaves behind her niece, Alexandria Palmer of Arlington, TX, and nephew: Roger Palmer of Corpus Christi. She also cherished her grand-nieces, Dasmine Nickerson, Ebone Green, and Abigail Palmer, grand-nephew Tremayne Green, great-grand-niece Kylah Beacham-Armstrong, and great-grand-nephew Amari White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger B. Moore and Esther E. Hester-Moore; her siblings, Rosalind Moore, Christy Moore, and Christopher Moore; aunts Betty Hester, Carol Spratt; uncles Eldridge Moore, Richard Hester, and Walter Hester; and cousins, Sheryl Clopton and Michael Britton.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 11, 2026 at 10 am at A Breath of Praise Church located at 711 Bailey St. Brownwood TX. Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home.
