William Tom Young William Tom Young, 71, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Santa Anna, located at 201 Lee Street, Santa Anna, Texas. William was born on March 14, 1954, in Gouldbusk, Texas, to Willie Young and Helen Terrell. He received his education in Santa Anna, graduating from Santa Anna High School. William worked as a butcher for the Swift Company for 36 years, relocating with the company to San Angelo. After retiring, he continued serving his community as a janitor for the San Angelo School District. In his spare time, William enjoyed fishing and cherished the moments he spent with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce Velasquez. William is survived by his son, Tyrone Young of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his daughter, Crystal Young Woodberry and husband Anthony of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
