William Kirk one of 27 Children of Mr. Frank and Mrs. Mary Lowe Kirk was born October 22, 1919 in Otto Texas. Willie United with the church at an early age and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church until he moved to California. William was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1942 for active military duty and served his country during World War II as a sergeant in the army. Upon returning from the war, he moved to Berkeley, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Mary Lowe Kirk; wife: Vinita Boatwright Kirk; sisters: Rachael White, Frankie Smith, and Amelia White; brothers: Sullivan Kirk, Sam Kirk, Elijah Kirk, Frank Kirk, Lee Kirk, Charlie Kirk, and Onnie Kirk, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory sons: Jesse Kirk (Margie) of CA, Danny Broussardof TX, Eric Jones of CA, D'Shane Kirk of CA; daughter: Debria Mackay Kirk of CA; sisters: Bernice Kirk & Mozella Debose both of TX; 7grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all over the World.
