WALTER JORDAN LIEPELT

Born January 30,1943 – Died February 1, 2022

Wally, aka" Butch" was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from St. Ignacious High School. He later met and married Juanita Kotlinski and had three children. Wally was a dedicated father and he furthered his Education with a degree in Computer Programming from Bogan Community College in Chicago. He started working for the Cory Corporation in Chicago and later the CTA-Chicago Transit Authority. After 20 years he divorced and started his own Computer Programming Company called LeeCom where he contracted himself out to Exxon Mobil in Houston, Texas for 3 years. After spending 1 winter away from Chicago he decided to make Texas his home. He left Exxon and worked at Systems Computer Technology where he met and married MaryAnn Danford in 1996. After several years in Houston they moved to Liberty Hill Texas where he worked at CheckFree Corp as a IBM Programmer until deciding to move to Brownwood Texas to be closer to retire.

Wally enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, social gatherings and an occasional "Happy Hour" where his drink of choice was "Grand Marnier". Wally had a witty sense of humor, was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was loved by all and will be missed dearly.

Wally was proceeded in death by son, Daniel Liepelt, and wife, MaryAnn (nee Shannon Danford) Liepelt. Wally leaves behind his daughter Ramona Spaid and her husband Eric, his daughter Michelle Moser and her husband Brian, his Stepson Terry Danford and wife Kim and Stepdaughter Dana Pringle and husband George. He was a loving Grandfather of five; Geno Muscolino-Moser, Marcus Rios, Dani Spaid, Andrew Moser and Ethan Spaid. He was a Beloved brother to Carol Gross and husband George and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He had two cats he cherished and kept him company always: Little Girl and Zero.
