Volo A Nelson of Abilene passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at Greater Faith Community Church located at 417 Wesley St. Brownwood TX. Saturday July 29,2023 at 2pm. Visitation will also be held at the church Saturday, July 29, 2023, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

Volo was born June 26, 1953 in TN to Reana Mae Beach and John Nelson. In His spare time he loved to cook for his family and friends. Volo was a man of God and enjoyed going to church. He enjoyed talking and telling stories of his lively hood. Mr. Nelson was a tax preparer and loved working with people, especially the elderly and young children.

Volo was preceded in death by parents Reana Mae Beach, and John Nelson, children; Dewayne Gammer, Audrea Gammer, Clifford Gammer, and Demond Gammer.

Left to cherish his memories are: wife; Carolyn Nelson of 41 years, sons; Volo Gammer Jr., Veander Gammer, sisters; Doris Lytle, Connie Shepherd, Gwendolyn Fye Beach, Mardean Hall, Kaye Jenkins, Brothers; Tim Lawson Strode (Linda), and Ike Beach, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who will miss him.
