Velia Cisneros 73 of Abilene passed away Monday April 24, 2017 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene with family by her side. A graveside service will be held Saturday May 6, 2017 at 2pm at the Caps Cemetery. Velia was born May 17, 1943 in Abilene TX, to Augustin and Guadalupe "Lupe" Cisneros. Velia received her education from Butterfield Elementary, then went on to Wylie Independent Schools. Velia cared for her parents for many years. After her parents passed away, she continued caring for other family members. She was a Christian woman who loved her family and even more so, she loved God. At any given time, Velia would take the opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.She was also an artist and loved to draw. Left to cherish her memories are brothers Julio Cisneros of Fort Worth, Will Cisneros (Nancy) of Oklahoma, nephews; Delaney DeAnda (Beth), Martin DeAnda, Matthew DeAnda all of Abilene. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Velia was preceded in death by parents, 3 sisters; Mary DeAnda, Frances Loya, Sandra Cisneros, brothers; Jack Cisneros, and Frank Cisneros.
