Theresa Lynn Agnew, 68, was born in San Angelo, Texas, to Bill and Betty Steward on May 17, 1958. She passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas.

Theresa was preceded in death by her sister, Teris Gay; her father, Bill Steward; her mother, Betty Steward; her sister, Sandy; her son, Chevy Joe; and her grandson, Jace.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky of Talpa; son Richard and Monica of Terrell; daughter Bobbie and Jason of Valera; daughter Sandra and Joey of Lipan; daughter Tiffney and Michael of San Angelo; son Michael and Monica of Valley View; son Miguel of Talpa; and son Ricky of Talpa; brother Mike and Pam Steward of Lamesa and Sister Brenda and Stacey Sonnberg of Paintrock.

Theresa is also survived by her grandchildren, Veronica, Cody, Chevy, Hannah, Autumn, Kaylee, Hailey, Jaiden, Justin, Raimee , Caiden, Jasen Ryder, Brooklyn, Jace, Navey, Patricia, and Sawyer; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Theresa loved to garden and loved to cook-and she did both exceptionally well. She was especially loved for her pea salad. Above all, Theresa loved Jesus and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Theresa wore many hats throughout her life, but her favorites were being a wife, mother, sister, and Gram Bam. She served her community wherever she lived, always finding ways to help others. She loved delivering food to people and working at the food bank. Theresa had an open-door policy, and there was always room for one more at her table and in her heart.

Her generous spirit, warm hospitality, and love for others touched countless lives. She gave freely of herself and made people feel welcome, cared for, and loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to Rockwood Cemetery in Theresa's name.

A meal will follow the service at the community center nearby on Polk Street. There is no formal street address for the community center.

Theresa Lynn Agnew will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her love for her family, her generous heart, her faith, and her willingness to serve others will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
