Steven Edward Schafer was born June 5,1965 to Leonard and Linda Schafer in Big Spring, Tx. Steve was known for his hard headedness and stubborness, but most importantly for being kind, thoughtful and never knowing a stranger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors with his friends and family. Everyone was welcome to come and sit on his porch for a visit. Steve loved big and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his 2 sisters: Linda Worley and Micki Bailey (spouse Beetle Bailey), 2 daughters: Asia Hill (spouse Mason Perkins) and Payton Moore (spouse Ty Burleson), Grandchildren: Lane Moore, Atlas Culverhouse, Larmie Burleson and Acey Burleson and several nieces and nephews Steve was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Linda Schafer and brothers Ben and Link Schafer Steven Schafer, 60 of Brownwood, passed away December 2, 2025 in Abilene TX. A celebration of life will be planned by family at a later date.
