Steven C. Bilbo, 81 years old, of Cisco, Texas passed away on August 13, 2024, in Brownwood, Texas. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Cozumel, Mexico. Steve Bilbo was born in Houston, Texas to Thomas Porter Bilbo and Blanch Hodges Bilbo on August 11, 1943. He attended the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Navy aboard the USS Arnold J Isbell. He was a member of the CEBS and was a lifelong Insurance Benefit Specialist. Steve was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ which brought him much joy. Steve Bilbo was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Wayne, Glenn Alan, Wayne Kirk Bilbo, his grandson Tyler Lee Maner, as well as his adopted daughter Teri Bilbo. Steve Bilbo is loved and missed by the mother of his daughter, Linda Alice Shearin, daughter Leslie Ann Bilbo-Currier and son-in-law William Joseph Currier, grandchildren Trystan Michael Maner and Trynity Allyse Chipman, and great-grandchildren, Tyler LeeAnn Chipman, Hailee Ann Maner, and Lawson Drake Chipman. He will also be greatly missed in the lives of his former spouse Karen Joyce Bilbo, her son James Cody Lasater, his children Ridge and Laken Lasater, her daughter Kim Lasater Sarafidis and son in law Daniel Sarafidis, as well their children Shane, Jenny, and Jordan Sarafidis, Landon Whitsel, and Kaily Baker and her husband Chris, as well as Steve's adopted children Matthew, Mark, and Craig Bilbo. The family of Steve wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Hendrik Medical Center, Brownwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Solaris Hospice for their exceptional care during his illness. We are especially grateful to Mr. J. Daniel Bruce with the Brownwood VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic for his gracious assistance and prayers during this difficult time.
