Obituary

Ronald ("Ronnie") E. Carroll, 56, of Austin TX, formally of Abilene, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple TX. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00am at King Solomon Baptist Church, 1050 Minda St. with Rev. Owen Crowder as the Eulogist, Antioch CME Church, Abilene TX. A visitation will also be held at the church Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6-8pm. Interment will be held Monday November 24, at 11:00am at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene with full Military Honors. Ronnie was born March 6, 1958 in Abilene TX to the parentage of Thomas and Ella Mae Carroll. Ronnie received Christ at an early age and was a long time member of Antioch C.M.E Church. He received his primary education from Abilene Independent School District graduating from Abilene High in 1976. Soon after graduating high school, Ronnie enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, Ronnie was stationed at several Air Force Bases, including: Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs CO, Elmendorf AFB in Alaska, Bergstrom AFB in Austin TX, Camp New Amsterdam in The Netherlands and Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota. In his spare time, you could find Ronnie just relaxing watching his favorite western TV shows. Left to cherish his memory is: Mother Ella Mae Carroll of Abilene; 2 sons Jayresse Patton (Kim) of Fort Worth TX and Kazim Carroll of Austin; 2 stepsons David Williams III of Los Angeles and Aubrey Williams of Austin TX; 2 sisters Sharon Frederick of Harker Heights TX and Drucilla Christian (Harold Don) of Abilene; brother Gary Carroll (Shana) of Abilene; 4 Grandchildren Bresha, Jayla, Javon and Kyrsten Patton; special niece Tiffany King of Austin TX; the love of his life for the past 22 years Lucille McGee and her children Roderick Jones of Abilene, Setorria McGee of Austin TX, Cory McGee (Rita) of Abilene and Christopher Robinson of Austin TX and 9 Grandchildren Adrian, Brianna, Klenisha, Calvin, Maliyah, Noah, Jalen,S'ryane, Camron, Rodrigo, and Carter;a second set of special parents Louise and Larry Corn of Abilene and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
