Shirley Ann Griffice was born in Odessa, TX on July 13, 1952. Growing up in Odessa, she met the love of her life in high school and married at the age of 16 in 1968. Together they raised 3 children all across Texas from Lohn, Clute, Angelton, and Odessa. Working at Lohn School, Bealls and Sam's Club but devoting the majority of her time working as "super mom". Spending most of her life in Odessa, Shirley was known for many of her hobbies. From quilting, painting ceramics, cooking and playing cards- she excelled in all. She was known as a second mom to many with her kind, patient and nurturing demeanor. She was a collector of many things and always had a craft project in mind! Above all, she loved her family and friends the most.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Griffice. Children Candy and Ronnie Moore, Johnny Griffice, Garland and Annalise Griffice. Grandchildren Lauren and Jonathan Kaster, Hannah Griffice and Ava Griffice and great grandchildren Kallum Kaster and baby girl Kaster arriving in August. Along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and beloved lifelong friends.
A memorial in Shirley's honor will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 2:00pm at Lohn Tabernacle.
