Sammy Roy Turner 66 of Dallas passed away Monday June 20 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00am at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 6449 Houston School Rd. A visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home Sunday June 26, 2016 from 3:00-6:00pm Sammy was born November 2, 1949 in Henderson TX. He received his primary education from Henderson public schools and graduated from Hill Senior High School in Henderson TX in 1968. Sammy enlisted in the United States Army and served our country in Vietnam. Sammy ran track, loved to fish and cook, but most of all he loved his family. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Jerusha Johnson of Dallas, daughter Trisha L. Smith (Minister Fredrick) of Duncanville, son Sammy R. turner Jr. of Heidelberg MS, daughters Latasha S. Lindsey (Jason) and Natasha L. George (Lawrence) both of Athens TX. And son Jonathan J. Turner (Stormy) of Mansfield TX, sister Pamela G. Saunders of Dallas, 12 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bobby Jay Saunders and Dollie Turner.
