Ronnie Nickerson 64 of Brownwood passed away Saturday October 8, 2016 at Songbird Lodge nursing home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 15, 2016 at 12pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Eddy Hayes as the Eulogist. A visitation will be held Friday October 14, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Brownwood Funeral Home. Ronnie was born May 1, 1952 in Lubbock TX to the parents of Charlie Nickerson and Leola Virginia Nickerson. At an early age the family moved to Brownwood and Ronnie received his primary education from Brownwood Schools. Ronnie was a hands on type of man who loved to work on Cars, and do Janitorial work. Ronnie soon moved to Kerrville TX and there he worked at HEB for many years. After leaving Kerrville he moved to Brownwood, Coleman, Abilene then back to Brownwood in 2009 and would stay in Brownwood until his death. Ronnie loved to clean cars, and loved to play dominoes, he was an all around character that loved to see people smile and have a good time. Ronnie was very family oriented and loved his family. Left to cherish his memories are son Bobby Ray Anderson of Abilene, sisters Josephine Osborne (Robert) of Seagoville TX, Linda Nickerson (Ray Smith) of Abilene, Mary Ann Nickerson (Thurman Chandler) of Brownwood, six brothers Dan Lee Nickerson of Dallas Raymon Nickerson of Lubbock, Charles L. Nickerson of Brownwood, Troy Nickerson (Jackie) of Dallas, Lloyd Nickerson of Dallas, Bill Nickerson of Brownwood. And a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends Ronnie was preceded in death by both parents, Sister Tommie Dale Nickerson-Martin, and Brothers Joe Wayne, Allen, J.W., Marshall, and Hubert Nickerson.
