Rodney "Red" Smith 49 of Abilene passed away Friday July 10, 2015 a memorial service will be held Saturday July 25, 2015 from 3-5pm at Trinity Baptist Church located at 1503 Crescent. Rodney Smith better known as Red was born March 28, 1966 in Davenport Iowa. Rodney received his primary education in Davenport before moving. Red lived a life of a Gypsy and moved to different parts of the United States. Some of the places he lived included Illinois, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Missouri including Texas. Rodney was a true workaholic who loved to ride motorcycles; he knew how to have fun and enjoyed doing it. He enjoyed Camping and cooking, bowling, Boating, and most of all being around family, friends and the kids. Left to cherish his memories are Mother and Father Joyce and Gary of Hot springs Arkansas, 2 brothers Tim of Villa Grove IL, Ronnie of Sweetwater, 3 sisters Jody of Hot Springs Arkansas, Shelly and Kelly both of Muscatine Iowa.
