Roddy Evans Brown Sr. 67 of Abilene passed away Saturday October 10, 2015 in Abilene Texas. Graveside Services will be held at Wednesday October 14, 2015 at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene at 11:00am with Military Honors, with Rev. Andrew Penns officiating.
Roddy was born August 30, 1948 in Mobile Alabama to the parentage of James Brown and Mary Dailey-Brown. Roddy received his primary education from Mobile Schools after graduating Roddy enlisted in the Unites States Army and served for several years, while in the Army, He played on the Army Football team. Being the competitive person he was, Roddy loved sports, he loved to Work out, and he loved to watch the L.A. Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys play. Roddy worked as a Ultrasound technician for over 20 years at the Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
Roddy was preceded in death by parents, Sister Nancy Stephens, and 2 brothers Wilton Brown and Edward Brown.
Left to cherish his memories are Daughter Nikki Brown of Hewitt TX, Son Roddy Brown II, of the Woodlands TX, 5 sisters Lizetta Brown, Pinky Mitchell, Delores Barber, Catherine Beasley all of Dayton Ohio, and Ida Brown of Abilene TX, 2 brothers Johnny Brown (Betty), and James "Buster" Brown(Debbie) of Dripping Springs TX, granddaughters Lailah Brown, London Brown, grandson Denzyl Benton-Brown and a host of extended family and many friends.
