Robert Sanders 70 of Abilene passed away Saturday April 25, 2015 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Friday May 1, 2015 at 2pm at the Abilene City Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dove Funeral Home from 11am-1pm on Friday. Robert was born July 22, 1944 in New Orleans LA, to the parentage of Horace Villia Sr. and Leona Marts. Robert received his education from the New Orleans School district. He was a long-time resident in New Orleans and lived there most of his life. Robert moved to Abilene in 1976 and remained until his demise. Robert had a kind soul and never met a stranger, he was a hard-working man, and loved to detail cars. Preceding him in death are both parents, Sister Anita Villia Hayes, and brothers Ashton Villia, Horace Villia Jr., and Lonnie Marts Sr. Left to cherish his memories is two Sons Greg Gallaher and wife Alicia of Newnan GA, and Robert Sanders Jr. of Louisiana. Two daughters Jamaica Rhodes of Waco TX, and Robin Gallaher of Tennessee, sister Evelyn Carter and brother Anthony Marts, both of New Orleans , and 7 Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
