Robert C. "Tavo" Flores 69, of Abilene passed away Tuesday July 26, at Hendrick Medical Center with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 30th, 2016 at Globe Life Ministry located at 1164 Minter Lane at 3pm. Robert C. Flores, known by many as "Tavo" was born May 5, 1947 in Abilene TX, to the parents Raul And Calletana Flores. Tavo was a life-long resident of Abilene and worked for AISD, Wal-mart, and Family Dollar. For many years, he was a dedicated Co-owner of the family owned business, Flores Roofing Company. His devotion to his family and his Corazones de Welo is how he spent the majority of his time. He also loved listening to music, dancing, bbqing and watching his Dallas Cowboys on Sundays. Christmas was his favorite time of year; because it brought all the family together. Robert C. Flores "Tavo" also known as "Welo" to all the children, leaves to cherish his memories, wife of 49 years, Carmen Flores of Abilene, Three daughters, Rachel Flores (Gary), Margaret Gomez (George), and Yolanda Flores. Two Sons; Joe M. Flores (Elvira), Rocky Flores (Marisela), and beloved granddaughter Dominique Flores, all of Abilene. Brother Raul "Sonny" Flores (Gracie) of Abilene, five sisters, Rosemary Rabbani (Abba) of Plano, Beth "BeBe" Portillo (John) of Arlington, and Dora Helms, Perfidia "PePe" Ocon, Delia Barrera all of Abilene, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 grand-dog Wiggie. Tavo was preceded in death by parents, brothers ; Joe E. Flores, Rudy Flores, Joe M. Flores, Son-n-law Felix Villalovos, and granddaughters Elexus Flores, and Breanna Camacho.
