Robert Lee Bailey 81 of Abilene passed away Thursday March 26, 2015 at Coronado Nursing Center. A service of praise and celebration will be held Saturday March 28, 2015 at 2pm at King Solomon Baptist Church 1050 Minda St. With Pastor Houston McLendon officiating. Robert Lee Bailey was born to Paul Bailey Sr., and Marie Bailey on November 23, 1933 in Marlin TX. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Bridges and was married for thirty-seven years. He had two sisters and two brothers, who preceded him in death. Robert accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church. He was an ordained deacon and remained a faithful member until his death. He owned and operated a detail shop for a great number of years some years ago, he retired due to his health. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife of thirty-seven years, Dorothy Bailey, one son Gary Bailey and wife Rita of Grand Prairie TX, daughter Secta Gammage of Abilene. One sister Edna Bailey and Brother Nathaniel Bailey. His grandchildren are Gary Bailey II, Boris Bailey, Ebony Bailey and Marete Bailey, all of Grand Prairie TX, Percy Gammage III and Wife Stefanie of Ft. Worth, Texas; Christopher Gammage of Dallas, Donald Evans of College Station TX, and David Evans of Abilene. 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, one God-son Kadarrel Blackmon, many relatives and very good friend Pastor Izair Lankford.
