Rebecca (Becky) Joyce McBride passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. She was born Feb. 15, 1958 in Brownwood to Harold and Melba Coffee McBride. She was the youngest of four children. She had lived her entire life in Brownwood and attended school there when she graduated in 1976.
Becky was a very kind and loving person that never met a stranger. She was a good Christian woman that attended many of the area churches. She especially loved to attend the Cowboy Church with Bro. Todd, the pastor, when her health permitted. She instilled good, loving Christian values in both of her sons, who she was very proud of.
She joins her mom, Melba McBride, her dad, Harold McBride, and a sister, Christine Graham, in Heaven where they welcomed her with open arms.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss, sons Jermey Spencer and Christopher Edward, both of Brownwood; two grandchildren, Pasily and River Nelson; a sister, Linda Boone and husband Randal of May and Allen; a brother, Adrian McBride and wife Marla of Oklahoma; her best friend and partner, Merill Hughs of Coleman; aunts, Lillie Mae Brown of Comanche, Myrte Storey of Coleman, Betty Coffee of Hamilton, Aunt Jerrie and Uncle Henry Orr of May; and many nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.
We will never forget her love, kindness and compassion.
Viewing will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Brownwood Funeral Home, 2512 Belle Plain. Funeral services will be held at the Cowboy Church, 1100 High Mesa Drive, at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, with Bro. Todd King officiating.
