Phelan Shanta Whetstone affectionately known as Misty received her heavenly crown Thursday August 11, 2016 at Lewisville Medical Center. A service of praise and celebration will be held Saturday August 20, 2016 at 11am at Greater Faith Community Church, with Elder Jerry Jordan as the Eulogist. A Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8pm also at the church. Misty was born May 16, 1982 in Brownwood TX, to the parents of Tracy Jones and Timothy Whetstone. Misty attended Brownwood schools until she was 12. The family then moved to Abilene in 1994 and she continued her education in Abilene Independent School District graduating from Abilene High in 2000. Soon after her graduation the family moved to Louisiana. While in Louisiana Misty worked at the Casino, then she was an apartment manager in Alexander LA. Misty career took her overseas to work for 6 years before returning to the states. In 2013 misty moved to Lewisville TX, while in Lewisville she worked at the Brookdale Nursing Facility. Misty was a free spirited person who never met a stranger. She excepted Christ at an early age, and lived each day like it was her last. Left to cherish her memories are daughter Keionne Tenee Wells, twin children Kaleah Danielle Rene Whetstone, and Kaleb Rashon Perry Whetstone, all of Lewisville. Mother Tracy Jones (Eugene) of Bossier City LA, Father Timothy Whetstone (Sharon) of Houston. Sisters Shawna Jackson of Bossier City, Phantasa Whetstone-Jeter (Marcus), Stacy Whetstone of California, LaQueetia Mathis of Odessa, Meagan Wright and Morgan Wright both of Irving. Brothers Djibril Whetstone, Timothy Johnson of California, Julius Jackson of Dallas, Maternal grandmother Billie Whetstone of Houston. And fiancé Ira Franklin of Lewisville She was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents' Mary Randolph and James Jackson, and Paternal grandfather Odexter Manning.
