Pearlie Walker-Coleman 79 of Abilene passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015, at The Oaks at Radford Hills Nursing facility. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 14, 2015 at 11:00am at New Light Baptist Church with Pastor Jordan as the eulogist. A visitation will be held Friday at the church from 5-7pm Pearlie Coleman was born August 2, 1935 in Gibsland LA, to the parentage of Isom Walker and Vastie Booker-Walker. Pearlie attended and graduated High school in Gibsland LA and also met her husband Billy Joe Coleman Sr. in Louisiana, Pearlie moved to Abilene TX in 1969 and lived the remainder of her life in Abilene. She was a Housekeeper for private homes also catering for many years, some of Pearlies hobbies included sewing, playing dominos, bargain shopping, singing in the church choir, traveling, and fishing. Pearlie was also a long time faithful member of New Light Baptist Pearlie Booker-Walker-Coleman 79 passed away Monday February 4, 2015. Pearlie is preceded in death by both parents, husband Billy Joe Coleman, 3 brothers Jimmy Walker, Robert Walker, and Charlie Walker, 2 sisters Mattie Cato, and Annie Mae Sykes. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons Shelton Coleman of Abilene, and Billy Joe Coleman Jr. of LA, 4 Nephews Raymond Johnson of Abilene, David Sykes of Abilene, Terry Sykes of Abilene, Troy Applin of Abilene, and 4 Nieces Sabrina Berlison of Abilene, Dona Sykes of Louisiana, Carol Sykes of Corpus Christi, Sharron Cato of Louisiana. 1 sister Brenda Walker of Abilene, and a host of extended family and friends.
