Patsy Ann Sheshey Wentworth, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born on January 26, 1952, in Sweetwater, Patsy was the daughter of William Warren Sheshey Jr. and Patsy Sue Martin Sheshey. She attended Brownwood High School in Brownwood and graduated with the Class of 1971. In 1975, she married Robert Wentworth. In 2024, Patsy fulfilled a meaningful spiritual goal by receiving her certificate as an ordained minister. She was deeply devoted to her Christian faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through life's hardships and darkest times, she always leaned on her faith for strength and guidance. Above all else, she loved her children dearly and did her very best to protect and care for them. Patsy was also proud of her Native American heritage and citizenship in both the Delaware Tribe of Indians and the Cherokee Nation. She was preceded in death by her father, William Warren Sheshey Jr., in 1957; her mother, Patsy Sue Martin Sheshey, in 2010; and her daughter, Peggy Sue Wentworth, in 2023. Patsy is survived by her son, Bobbie Lee Wentworth; her sisters, Annis Gayle Sheshey and Billie Jean Sheshey; and her beloved grandsons. In her younger years, Patsy enjoyed writing poetry and expressing herself through art. Her creativity and caring spirit touched many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Texas. The family of Patsy Ann Sheshey Wentworth wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, ICU staff, and chaplains at Hendrick Medical Center for their compassionate care and support.
