Michael "Mike" Thompson Jr. 27 of Brownwood passed away Saturday June 9, 2018 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford TX, a Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11am at the Victory Life Church with Rev. Eddy Hayes as the Eulogist. Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church located at 914 Bailey St. Mike was born March 14, 1991 in Brownwood TX, to Marisha Stidom and Michael Thompson Sr. Mike received his primary education from Brownwood Independent School District. Michael was an outstanding athlete, who loved to play basketball. He graduated from Brownwood High School, class of 2009. He Accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. After high school Mike enrolled in college at Howard Payne University where he majored in Marketing, and while enrolled he continued his passion of playing basketball and played for 4 years. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Marketing he then went on to work for AT&T for a couple of years in Brownwood then he transferred to Austin. He returned home to Brownwood and was employed at the State School briefly before finding employment with Dex Media in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Mike was preceded in death by uncle Chubby Thompson, great grandmother Susie Lewis, paternal grandfather Worth Thompson, and maternal grandfather James Lee McDonald. Left to Cherish his memories are is mother Marisha Stidom and husband Ronald of Brownwood, father Michael Thompson Sr. of Brownwood. Brother Prince Thompson of Lewisville, maternal grandmother Delores McDonald of Brownwood, paternal grandmother Betty Thompson of Grand Prairie, fiancé Madison Morris of Lampasas, and unborn son MT3. Aunt Debra Lewis, uncle Anthony McDonald, aunt Angela Teal, aunt Pamela McDonald, uncle Barry McDonald, aunt Debra Jay, aunt Felicia Thompson,nephews Jordan and Tyrus Thompson. Numerous cousins, extended family and many, many friends.
