Michael Lewis 53 of Abilene passed away Saturday June 28, 2014 at the home of an aunt 5349 Congress ave. Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 9,at 11am at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene,with full military honors. Michael was born July 15, 1960 in Abilene Texas. He attended Abilene public schools. Michael had various jobs through the years. His greatest joy was truck driving. He later started working for Heartland drilling in the oil field industry. Michael was a cheerful, caring individual. He was always willing to help others anyway he could. Michael was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his father Melvin "Bubba" Lewis, and mother Lena Mae Jones, and a brother Ronal Lewis. William Huff "June Bug". Survivors include one brother Van Huff (Harriett) of Abilene, Two sisters Lois Edwards (Bobby) of Abilene, and Melvina Lewis (Emerick) of San Francisco California, Six aunts Emma Hines (Ozel) Marion Brown (Mart) Brenda Jones, & Juanice Elaine Jones, all of Abilene Tx., Sharon Bennett of So. Carolina, and Beverly Bolckmon (Charles) of Houston Tx., three uncles Billy Wayne Jones (Gertrude) and Bennie Jones of Abilene Tx., and Bracy Jones of Dallas Tx., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & relatives.
