Michael "Mike" James Eberle, born November 9, 1942, to Willye Margaret Eberle (Schlick) and George Roger Eberle, passed away on April 22, 2026, after a life marked by dedication, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. Mike attended Carrizo Springs High School, where he met the love of his life, Donna. Their bond began early and never wavered. They eloped in Mexico and returned home without telling anyone for an entire month. They stayed in their separate homes, until they felt it was time to share the big news. In 1967, Mike bravely served his country in Vietnam, stationed on the front lines in Da Nang during the Tet Offensive. Though he rarely spoke of his experiences, his courage and sacrifice were deeply respected by those who knew him. Following his service, Mike built a long and successful career as a Survey Engineer, continuing his work well into the later years of his life-a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, Mike had a deep passion for golf, a game he loved and played throughout his life. He also found joy and peace working with his cows on his property, embracing the simple and meaningful rhythms of rural life. Mike is survived by his daughter, Traci; his son-in-law, Mike Kriesman; and his grandchildren, Paige and Brady Kriesman. He is also survived by his brother Roger Eberle and his wife Dot; his sister Vicki Frenzel; and his brother Steiner Eberle and his wife Christy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Dutch Frenzel. Mike will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to his family, and the enduring love he shared with his wife, Donna-a partnership that began in youth and carried through a lifetime. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:30am-12:30pm, at Brownwood Funeral Home. Service will start at 12:30pm, following viewing.
