Mary Lee Watkins-Thomas was born May 24, 1929 in Russell County Texas, to the parents of Tom and Ethel Watkins. Mary was a long time member of the Church of Christ and loved he lord. She was employed by Abilene Janitorial for 30+ years. She loved to watch TV, especially Young & the Restless, Bold & Beautiful, and the Price is Right. Mary Lee Watkins-Thomas, 87 of Abilene passed away Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center. Left to cherish her memories are daughter Katrina Harkless of Abilene, grandsons Eugene Thomas, and Devodrick Harkless both of Abilene, Brother Grady Watkins of Corsicana, sister Roberta Ralston of Abilene, nephews Ricky Watkins Sr., and Willie Watkins both of Abilene, and a host of extended family and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by husband M.V. Thomas, mother Ethel Odell Hughes, father Tom Watkins, and a infant baby boy.
