Marvin Ralph Biersdorfer 81 of Blanket passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at Care Nursing and Rehab in Brownwood. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 19 2014 at 3pm at the Brownwood Funeral Home, a private burial will be held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene Texas, with Military Honors. Marvin was born March 27, 1933 in Weimer Texas to the parentage of Herbert Biersdofer and Adela Machalec. Marvin grew up in Flatonia and Schullenburg and attended school in Flatonia. On October 7, 1952 Marvin enlisted in the United States Air Force and worked his way up to Staff Sargent and served our country for 4 years. While in the Air Force he became an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor during the Korean time, after that he was a mechanic, became a Milwright Superintendent(which is setting equipment) Marvin married Belinda Cox on November 4, 2006 in Blanket TX. Marvin worked for Zachary Construction as a Millwright retiring after 24 years. While living in Odessa he drove the school bus for Odessa ISD, then in 1999 he moved to Brownwood driving the School bus for Brownwood ISD, then to Early ISD up until 2009. Some of his hobbies included Hunting, Fishing, collecting knives and collecting trains. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Belinda Biersdorfer of Blanket Tx, 3 sons Bruce Biersdorfer (Janet) of Katy TX, Mike Biersdorfer (Pam) of Odessa TX, and Steven Biersdorfer (Beth) of Katy, and 1 daughter Sandra Biersdorfer of Cypress TX. 1 brother Gary Biersdorfer (Debbie) of Tennessee, 2 sisters Gladys Austin (Kenny) of Eagle Lake TX, and Carolyn Meischen (Warren) of Fayetteville TX, 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren.
