Marilyn Dearborne 72 of Brownwood, received her Heavenly Crown Monday June 1, 2015 at San Angelo community Medical Center. A celebration of Marilyn Dearborne's life will be held on Saturday June 13, 2015 at 11:00am with Pastor Charles Lowe officiating, with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. A Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8pm at the Brownwood Funeral Home.
Marilyn was born on March 2, 1943 to Euriel and Elizabeth Jones. She attended Rufus F. Hardin High until desegregation. She was a graduate of Brownwood High School and She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas Southern university, and taught many years at Houston Independent School District.
She was a faithful member of Greater Faith Community Church. She was involved in the Women of Action Mission Group, Nursing Home Ministries, and other ministries within the Church where she was needed. She was –previously Treasurer and Board Member of Rufus T. Hardin Museum. She was also involved in various activities in the Community.
Those remaining to cherish her memories are Twin sister Marian Barron of Brownwood, and sister Priscilla Long (Early) of Oakland CA, Brother Euriel Jones Jr. of San Diego CA. Neices Mieke N. Bryant, Maya Long, Demilo Young (Robert), Valisa Khammao, 1 nephew Euriel Louis D'Lonzo Long; Aunt JuanitaJones, her Greater Faith Church family and many loving cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are father Euriel Jones Sr. Mother Elizabeth Jones, Husband Emmanuel Dearborne, Aunt Geraldine Jackson, and Uncles; Leonard Jackson, Willis Benton Jones, and Oddie Jones.
