Marie Turner-Morrison 56 of Abilene passed away at her home Thursday November 20, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00am at the Southwest Drive Community United Methodist Church, with Pastor Iziar Lankford as the Eulogist. A visitation will be held Sunday November 19, from 6-8pm also at the church. Marie was born October 20, 1958 in Merkel TX to the parentage of Willie Turner and Mary Austin-Turner, Marie attended school in Merkel. As a Young lady Marie relocated to Houston TX and Became a well-known Cook and lived there for 22 years. She then relocated to Dallas for several years then finally returning to Abilene where she decided to settle with her family. Being the free spirited person she was, Marie loved to laugh and tell jokes. Some of her hobbies included cooking for her family and fishing. Marie was preceded in death by both parents, 4 sisters Janette Sullivan Lizzie Roberta Morgan, Mary Helen Thompson, Dorothy Nell Hunter, and 3 brothers, Willie Turner Jr., Daniel Turner, and Charles Turner, Left to cherish her memories are son, Allen Lane Turner of Abilene, brother John Robert Turner Sr. of Abilene and 3 sisters Carol Ann Pena (Gilbert) of Abilene, Floretta Turner of Abilene and Mary Ollie of Las Vegas NV, and 1 aunt, Alberta Turner of Abilene.
