Maria Ann McDonald 60 of Abilene passed away Monday February 1, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Dove Funeral Home located at 2500 N. 1st St. Friday February 5, 2016 at 2pm. Maria was born January 22, 1956 in Aurora Colorado to the parentage of Maburn Rhodes and Kiyoka Taki. Maria received her education in the Aurora Schools and soon after High School she started a career in healthcare. Maria was one who never met a stranger and would help anyone. She loved to play card games on the tablet, she also loved to garden, and cooking for her family and friends. Maria was preceded in death by her Biological mother and father. Left to cherish her memories are daughters Amanda Pitts (Wayne), and Keisha McDonald both of Abilene. 2 sisters Donna Wright of Arlington, Sharon Span of Florida, 3 brothers Wayne Rhodes, Stevie Rhodes, Damon Rhodes (Hope) all of Florida, Mother who raised her Nancy Rhodes , 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
