Mae Dessivia was born February 6, 1940 in Franklin Texas to the parentage of Willie Lee and Stoice Willimas. The Family Moved to Rule in 1945, and remained there throughout her life. On February 18, 1956 Mae Helen was married to the love of her life Cornelius Dessivia Sr. in Aspermont TX, and remained married for 57 years. During her adult years Mae Helen worked as a housekeeper and a nurse's aide for many years and was a committed worker. Mae Helen accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the West Bethel Baptist Church in Rule where she was the head of the Mission Department for many years. In her spare time Mae Helen loved to fish and do yard work. Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, Mae Helen Dessivia74 of Rule passed away Saturday February 8, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center. Mae Helen Dessivia leaves to cherish her memory Husband of 57 years Cornelius Dessivia Jr. of Rule, 4 daughters Doris Williams of Rule, Mary Bagley (Willie) of Abilene, Joyce Dessivia of Abilene, and Mary Dessivia of Abilene. 2 sons Willie James Dessivia and Cornelius Dessivia Jr. both of Abilene. Brother Ralph Dunson of Midland TX, 7 Grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Also special friend Connie Griffen who was like a sister to her, and all extended family and close Friends Mae Helen was preceded in death by parents Willie Lee and Stoice Williams, sister Louise Hicks, and Nephew Leroy Hicks Jr.
