"A time to be born." –Ecclesiastes 3:2 Linda was born to the late ARELIOUS ROBINSON and Caldora Williams in Abilene, Texas, at Hendricks Memorial Hospital on the 6th of May 1951. She was raised by her mother and her late father Frank Williams "When I was a Child." -1 Corinthians 13:11 Linda shared days of love and joy with her parents and her siblings. In her elementary years of schooling she attended Woodson Elementary School after finishing elementary school Linda continued her secondary years at Carter G. Woodson High School in Abilene, Texas. Linda was taken to church at a very early age by her parents. Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at a very early stage in her life. Linda attended and was an early member of the Bethel Church of God in Christ and her late Pastor Supt. W.W. Fields. In her earlier years at Bethel Linda sing in the youth choir and served on the Usher Board. Linda loved the church and Linda loved to sing in church. It was nothing to hear Linda burst out on one of those old Church of God in Christ congregational songs like "Have you tried Jesus, He's all Right", "I am Soldier in the Army of the Lord", " In the Morning, When I Rise." Linda loved God and Linda loved the church and always found her way back. "You shall have tribulation." -John 16:33- Linda struggled in life, like we ALL do and went throught many things in life, many of them self- inflicted. One awesome thing about Linda through all of her trials and struggles in life Linda always found her way back to her first love; that was God and the church. In the mid 80's Linda moved to Longview, Texas, where she united with the Progressive Church of God in Christ in Gladwater, Texas under her pastor whom she loved dearly Supt. Alton Davis. There Linda remained faithfully and her health declined. "The blessings of family and offspring." –Isaiah 44:3 Linda was married in her late teenage years to Isiah Finley to that union was born two wonderful children Anthony Charles Finley, and Shirley Renee Finley. Linda later on in life conceived again and brought forth a beautiful bouncing baby girl named Sharion MichelLe Clark. She later in life married Alexander Tennison and the last of her four children was born named NimoY Tennison. "A Time To Die." –Ecclesiastics 3:2" One glad morning when this life is over I will fly away." When Linda's earthly body began to decay Linda she found comfort from the Word of God that she had another building not made by hand. The Apostle Paul encourages the Saints with these Words found in 1 Corthinians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. When Linda's body had completely decayed and she could no longer remain in that death doomed body the Lord said it was time for Linda to come home. On Monday the twentieth day of March two thousand and seventeen at 5:42 P. M. the Angel of the Lord quietly slipped into the room of Linda sealing her lips for all eternity at the age of 65. The very moment after, when her foot struck Zion she walked across the thresholds of Heaven with a brand new body and more cancer, no more pain, no more suffering singing "I am free, praise the Lord, I am free, no longer bound, no more chains holding me, my soul is now resting, praise the Lord I am free. Linda leaves behind cherished memories of a well spent full life, her four children Anthony Charles Finley, Renee Finley Bailey, Sharion MichelLe Clark, and Nimoy Tennision. SIX brothers Robert E. (Batman ) Williams (wife Tran) of Abilene, Texas, Pastor Dennis R. Williams Sr. ( wife Sonja) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jerry D. Williams of Longview, Texas, and Calvin F. Williams (wife Linda) of Ft. Worth, Texas, LESTER ROBINSON OF HOUSTON, TEXAS AND LARRY ROBINSON OF SACRAMENTO, CA. Two sisters Diane Williams, and Joice Williams Perkins (husband Greg) of Abilene, Texas. Linda left 12 beautiful grandchildren, and 13 precious great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Two sisters Mary Williams Tisdale and Barbara Smith and one brother Frank Williams Jr preceded her in death.
