Lillie Jordan-Coleman "Momma Coleman"81 of Bangs received her heavenly crown Saturday August 13, 2016 at her home. A service of praise and celebration will be held Thursday August 18, 2016 at the New Testament Holiness Church at 1pm with Pastor Ronnie White as the Eulogist, with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
Momma Coleman was born in Kaufman County to Mr. and Mrs. Luther Jordan. She attended school in Kemp Texas. Mother Coleman met and married her husband Horace Coleman, to this union three children were born. Sister Coleman worked as a cashier, and worked as a private home care taker for many years. Momma Coleman accepted Christ at an early age at Mitchell St. Church of God in Christ, she later moved to Coleman TX, and became a member of New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs, where she worked in the Take time to care organization, which helped needy families in the community. She was also a member of the Jesus New Covenant Church under Brother David Terrell. Sister Coleman was a great encourager, at any given time she would pull you to the side, and give you encouraging words.
Left to cherish her memories are Brother Luther Jordan Jr. (Hazel) of Dallas, sister Gladys Jordan of Brownwood, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews, extended family and her New Testament Holiness Church Family.
Preceding her in death are her parents Luther and Gladys Jordan, daughter Scherri, son Stanly, two brothers Roy Jordan, Lee E. Jordan, three sisters; Ida Brooks, Linda Bradley, and Joyce Ayers.
