Lem Levi Stephens age 90 of Abilene passed away at his home Wednesday August 17, 2016 a grave side service will be held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Tuesday August 23, 2016 at 10:00am with military honors. Lem was born July 4, 1926 in Stephenville TX, to the parents of Andy and Fannie Stephens. Lem received his public education in Stephenville schools before joining the United States Army. Lem retired from the United States Army after 20+ years of service. In his spare time he loved to play dominoes and cards. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Velma Stephens of Abilene, sons Daniel Stephens (Lisa) of Houston, David Stephens (Tammy) of Clyde, grandchildren Nathan, Michelle, Amanda, great-grandchildren; Mikaela, John,Cameron, Braxton, Shakoda, step son Calvin Boone of Killeen TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
