Lavera Marie Runnels 77 of Abilene passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held Sunday September 6, 2015 at 3:00pm at Elmcrest Baptist Church located at 517 N. Pioneer Dr.. Lavera Marie Runnels was born March 20, 1938 at Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton OK, to Paul and Maggie Sweeney, She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Joe Mansell and William Paul Sweeney, Mary Lou Amos, and Shirley Ann Denham. She is survived by her husband Dean, sons Bert T. and wife Laurel of Rowlett TX, Brian T. and Wife Cathy of Abilene, daughter Rebecca and husband Melvin of Ravenna OH. 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
