Coach Larry Cherry 45 of Abilene passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas TX, Funeral services will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 11:00am at the Galilee Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Bonds as the Eulogist. A visitation will be held Friday April 29, 2016 from 6-8pm also at the church.
Larry D. Cherry, Husband, Father, Brother, Friend, and Coach, was born July 14, 1970 in Abilene TX, to the parentage of Robert Walker, and Johnnie Cherry. Larry was a lifelong resident of Abilene, and a Abilene High Eagle. Soon after school Larry began working and also serving the community. Larry was a football coach for many teams in the community. Not only was he a coach but Larry was a mentor to the players, and would spend countless hours volunteering his coaching abilities to the local football organizations. Larry was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and loved to go to the local game rooms.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Brother Kenneth Cherry, and Sister April Walker.
Left to cherish his memories are Wife Amanda Pelowski-Cherry, daughter Tierra Cherry , sisters Linda Shackleford of Big Spring, Diane Cherry, Patricia Renfro both of Waco, Benita Cherry of Oregon, Shirley Williams of Abilene, Brothers David Cherry of Florida and Robert Cherry of Mississippi.
