Kevin
McCutchen
Mar 4, 1974 — Nov 2, 2026
Kevin McCutchen, 52, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2026.
Kevin was born on March 4, 1974, in Brownwood, Texas, to Calvin W. McCutchen and Mildred (Pigeon) Mitcham. He attended Bangs ISD and later married the love of his life, Hilda Marie Ash, on October 25, 2010, in Brownwood, Texas.
Kevin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man who treasured the time he spent with those he loved most. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, his son, and his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He found happiness in the simple things in life, including working in the yard, fishing, building things, and relaxing while watching his favorite shows, Cops and Yellowstone. Kevin will be remembered for the memories he made, the love he shared, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Pigeon) Mitcham; his stepmother, Gloria McCutchen; his brothers, Calvin Thomas (Tommy) McCutchen and Jack Lewis; his uncle, Jackie Mitcham; and his aunt, Pat Pat.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Hilda Marie McCutchen; his children, Preston McCutchen; Katie and Shaun Young; Elizabeth and Emmit Boykin; Kerry and Brandon McCutchen; and Samantha Griffin.
He is also survived by his father, Calvin W. McCutchen; his siblings, Kenneth McCutchen, Charles (Billy) McCutchen, John Ne Smith, and Angela Gann; and his beloved grandchildren, Karston, Wyatt, and Jed Young; Emmit Jr., Cyrus, Ender, and Ganon Boykin; Alana and Aliza Griffin; and Taylen.
He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Though Kevin's time here has come to an end, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the moments shared with family and friends will live on forever. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree or plant be planted in Kevin's memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home.
