Joseph Alvin Brown, affectionately known to many as "JoJo," was born on October 15, 1963, in Brownwood, Texas, to Georgia Mae Brown. He was born and raised in Brownwood, a community that remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 35 years, Vickie Brown; his children, Patience Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Trey Joseph Brown, Tiffany Jones, Tera Burns, and Naiyvee Perot; and his grandchildren, Payton Wilson, Shania Jones, Kaden Jones, Ky'N Duvall Burns, Khycen Ca'Leel Burns, Khor'N Chaize Burns, Kei'Lyn Azai Burns and Xander Brown. He is also survived by his brothers, Jan Edward Brown and Arthur Glenn Brown, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

During his younger years, Joseph attended Brownwood High School, where he played football for the Brownwood Lions. He later attended and graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas.

Joseph was a hardworking man who believed in providing for his family and helping others. For more than 20 years, he owned and operated his own lawn care business and built lasting relationships throughout the community. He made Lancaster, Texas, his home while maintaining strong ties to Brownwood, where he was well respected and remained connected to many lifelong friends.

Joseph enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing, hunting, archery, spending time in nature, and animals. He also had a love for cars and motorcycles and earned a brown belt in karate.

Those who knew Joseph knew him as outspoken, caring, funny, and always willing to help someone in need. He spoke his mind and never believed in sugarcoating things, a quality that was simply part of who he was.

Joseph will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the family and friendships he cherished throughout his life.
