Jessie Starks-McCoy 74 of Abilene passed away at her home Thursday October 30, 2014 with family by her side. A visitation will be held Sunday November 2, 2014 at Dove Funeral Home located at 2500 N. 1st st. from 12-2pm.Jessie was born August 29, 1940 in Baird Texas. Jessie met and married the love of her life Gene McCoy in 1954 in Abilene Texas. Jessie and Gene spent 56 loving years together until Gene passed away in 2010. Jessie loved watching John Wayne, Andy Griffin,NCIS, and most of all she loved spending time with her family and having family get togethers.Preceding her in death are her husband of 56 years Gene McCoy, Mother Willie Mae Starks, 2 daughters Betty Elrod, and Vetabalena McCoy, 3 sons James McCoy Mickey McCoy, and Jimmy Ray McCoy. And great-grandson Timothy Massey.Left to cherish her memories are 3 daughters Tommie Heltsley of Abilene, Debbie Adams (Doug) of Abilene, and Vickie Slack (Danny) of Abilene. 2 sons Gene Allen McCoy (Annie) and Billy McCoy of Lubbock.
