Jesse J. Swanson "Uncle Jesse" 66 of Abilene passed away Monday March 16 at Hendrick Medical Center, a celebration of life will be held at 207 N. Lamesa St. March 19 at 1pm. Jesse was born February 15, 1949 in Palestine TX to the parentage of George Wilson and Jule Swanson Jesse received most of his primary education there in Palestine before moving to New Orleans. He later moved to Abilene in 1992 and met the love of his life Valencia Williams-Swanson. Jesse better known as "Uncle Jesse" was a person that never met a stranger and loved helping others. Some of his hobbies included Playing chess, eating, and watching football. Jesse loved working in the yard and worked as a landscaper for many years. Uncle Jesse was preceded in death by mother Jule Swanson and father George Wilson. Left to cherish his memories are wife Valencia Swanson, children Chris Williams (Jesenia), Misty Owens, Ninida Sumlin all of Abilene. 4 grandchildren Chris, Kevion, Ciara, and Alexus.
