James "Junior" Robert Poindexter 66 of ovalo tx went to be with our lord on January 4th , 2014 at his home with family by his side. Junior was born February 27, 1947 in Baird to J. R. and velma Irene Poindexter. He worked as a factory mechanic and computer programmer in Abilene. He was a Free Mason. He had many passions including tinkering with machines, Bible Study, and attempting to build a free energy magnet motor. He also loved to listen to music and most of all play his guitar.He is survived by two daughters , Robbie Grimes and husband Doug of Ovalo, Tina Marie Wilson and Husband Russell of Abilene; grandchildren Cristin Grantham, Chance Keel, Jenna Bartlett, J.D. Grimes, Rainie Grimes, and Colby Wilson; 8 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews Bill Poindexter, elease Malone, Mickie Heard, and Patricia Beverlin. He was preceeded in death by both parents, and both younger brothers Mike Poindexter and Ricky Poindexter.
