Gussie Lee Jamison, age 73, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 in Brownwood, TX. A viewing will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Brownwood Funeral Home from 3-5pm. Gussie was born on September 3, 1951 in Fresno, CA to Ira and Zenobia Jamison. Gussie met his loving wife Loretta Young-Jamison in 1987 and then married in 2004. Over the years, they built a very loving and kind relationship while helping raise his daughters by marriage, Tasha Thomas, Lashonda Johnson and Michelle Ballinger. Upon moving to Brownwood in 2003 - 2004, they were excepted by Brownwood's community and was loved by everyone they met. While here in Brownwood, Gussie worked at Walmart for the last 17 years, and loved his work and worked very hard until the end. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. He made a positive impact on their lives and his presence will be deeply missed. Gussie is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Zenobia Jamison, his spouse Loretta Young-Jamison and daughter Tasha Thomas. He is survived by his daughters Lashonda Johnson and Michelle Ballinger, sisters Annie Ragland, Armie Jamison and Pear Jamison along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids.
