George Barnes Jr. 48 of Abilene passed away Sunday April 4, 2017 at Hendrick Medical Center. A Service of praise and celebration will be held Saturday April 15, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church at 11:00am. A visitation will be held at Ash Street Baptist Church Friday April 14, 2017 from 6-7pm. George was born August 3, 1968 to the late George Barnes Sr. and Taretha Ray in Abilene TX, George attended Abilene Schools. George never missed an Opportunity to make a friend. He loved working with his hands and fixing and creating. He worked many years as a Lawn Service Provider. He will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters; Alyssa Barnes of Battle Creek Michigan, Marissa Barnes of Fort Worth TX, Grandsons Aaron, Khalil, and Gabriel. Three Brothers Charles Ray (Ruth) of Fort Worth, Gregory Barnes (Linda), Kevin Barnes both of Abilene TX. Six sisters; Paulette Obregon (Antonio) of Corpus Christi, Cynthia Miller (Jerry) of Kingsville TX, Danice Allen (Kenneth) of Abilene, Yolanda Barnes Traylor (Charles) of Fort Worth, Annette Barnes, Sharon Barnes King both of Dallas, and 1 aunt Marcelle Smith of Columbus Georgia.
