Edna Ralston-Cooper, Long-time resident of Abilene age 54 passed away Monday July 18, 2016 at Hendrick Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2pm at the King Solomon Baptist Church with Pastor Houston McLendon as the eulogist.
Edna was born January 16, 1962 in Waxahachie TX to the parents of James Ralston SR. and Roberta Ralston. The Family moved to Abilene, and she received her education from Abilene public schools, graduating from Abilene High School in the late 70's. After graduating Edna began a career in nursing an worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for many years. Edna had a kind heart and loved taking care of people, she loved listening to music, and loved watching action movies.
Edna was preceded in death by husband Dywayne Cooper Sr. and father James Ralston SR.
Left to cherish her memories are: her mother Roberta Ralston of Abilene, five daughters Shanai Cooper, Tiesha Cooper, Shanthony Cooper, Edjuanna Cooper, O'cinia Cooper, Two sons Dywayne Ralston Jr., Issac Cooper, all of Abilene, two sisters Betty Evans of Abilene, Annette Watkins of California, Three brothers James Ralston Jr., Mark Ralston, and James W. Ralston, all of Abilene, 6 grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends. Donations can be made to the family directly or to Dove Funeral Home.
