Donovan "Deek" Hunter, also known as "Petro Chilly" 44 of Abilene passed away at Hendrick Medical Center Saturday October 1, 2016. Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 8, 2016 at 12:30pm at Galilee Baptist Church with Minister Harry Bonds as the Eulogist. A visitation will be held from 11:00am -12pm also at the Church. Donovan was born March 7, 1972 in Abilene Texas to the parents of Bennie Earl Hunter, and Lula King. When Donovan was young the family moved to Pittsburg TX and there he received his education from Pittsburg public Schools. Soon after high school, Donovan worked on a road construction crew in Pittsburg for several years. In the late 90's Donovan relocated to Abilene. Donovan was devoted member of the Galilee Baptist church. He loved to listen to music, watch action, and horror movies. Donovan was a kind humble person who loved his family and especially loved his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memories son Kenderick Vontae Hunter of Abilene, daughter Kededra Shuntae Hunter (Kevin Cox) of Abilene, daughter Tammy Griffin of San Antonio, Brothers Charles Ray Hunter , Leonza Veasloy Hunter both of Abilene, Father Bennie E. Hunter of Abilene. Grandchildren Lilah Marie, Liam Alexander, Armoni Oshay Nichole Hunter, and a host of extended family and many friends. Donovan was preceded in death by Mother Lula King.
