Donald Ray Smith "Bama Ray" was born June 12, 1956 in Abilene TX, to the parentage of Charles Odis Smith and Christine Lott. Bama Ray received his primary education from Abilene schools. His family was long time members of the Antioch CME Church. Donald was people person who never met a stranger. He was a competitive person, and loved all sports especially football and he loved to play dominoes. Donald Ray Smith "Bama Ray" 58 of Abilene passed away Tuesday April 7, 2015, left to cherish his memories are mother Christine Lott of abilene, 2 daughters Tiffany Barnes and Timika Williams both of Abilene, 3 sons Dominic Green of Midland, Donald Barnes of Dallas, and Shawntay Valencia of Abilene. 2 sisters Linda Pennye of Dallas, and Ethel Jackson (Keith) of Fort Worth, 3 brothers Earnest Charles Smith of Abilene, Johnny Smith (Carolyn) of Grand Prairie TX, and Michael Williams (Sharma) of Roundrock TX, several step-children, numerous grandchildren, wife Mary Smith and special friend Oscelia Woodruff Selman.Preceding him in death was father Charles Odis Smith and his grandparents.
