Debra Gayle Escobar, 70, of San Angelo Texas, passed away on December 10, 2025 in Early Texas. Debra Escobar was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Clarence and Hazel Wilkerson on December 17th, 1954.
Debra was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who devoted her life to her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and was known for her kindness, strength and warm heart. She worked for many years serving others as a waitress and then a receptionist for Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo. She loved all of the friends she made along the way. Every person she met was truly very special to her. Her strong work ethic and dedication reflected the love and responsibility she showed in every part of her life. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending time with them all.
Debra Escobar was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel, her father Clarence, her stepmother Nola, her brothers Ricky and Greg, along with her siter Cathy.
Debra Escobar is survived by her life partner, Erwin Voss of San Angelo, Texas, her daughter Tanya Hill, her son Jeremy Escobar, her brother, James King of Nacogdoches, Texas, her grandson, Jerod Ramirez and her granddaughters, Layken Smith, Priscilla Sanchez, Vanessa Sanchez, Kylee Sanchez and Jemma Escobar. She is also survived by her great grandsons, Lane, Jenson, and Kalum Ramirez and Jaxyn Lombrana, her niece and nephew, Kristy and Jeff Keith, along with other bonus family, Brenda and Julian Sanchez and many, many friends.
The family of Debra Escobar wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Solaris Hospice with many, many thanks to Gina (Nurse) and Francis (Chaplain). They took great pride in their work and took wonderful care of her.
