David Henderson 80 of Brownwood passed away Sunday August 16, 2026 funeral services will be held Saturday August 22, 2026 at 1pm at Brownwood Funeral Home, with military honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday August 21, 2026 from 5-7pm

David was born in Brownwood, Texas to Tom and Gladys (Zollicoffer) Henderson on June 27, 1946. He attended Brownwood High School in Brownwood, Texas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, in service to the US Army and was awarded The Gallantry Cross with Silver Star and The Army Commendation Medal. He was also a member of the Freemasons. He was employed with and retired from 3M as a foreman.

David Henderson was preceded in death by his father, Tom, mother, Gladys, sisters Pearlie Mae Bryant, Tommie Lee Govan and Joyce Faye Baker, brother Chester Ray Zollicoffer and daughter, Adrienne Lewis.

David Henderson is survived by the mother of his children, Lela Henderson, children, Barbara Doskocil (Rayburne), Terri Houff (James), Steven Henderson, brothers Willie Floyd and Bobby Roy, sister, Bernetta, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a glorious host of nieces and nephews.
