Charles Edward Spearman Sr., age 80, of Brownwood Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2025, surrounded by his family that loved him immensely. A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Brownwood Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Zephyr Cemetery.
Charles was born on October 18, 1944, to James and Elanor Spearman in Alabama. As a young boy Charles moved with his family to Texas and eventually moved to Brownwood where he met the love of his life Cherrie Beth Thompson, they married on August 21, 1964. They were happily married for 59 years until her passing in 2024. Charles spent his life devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Charles was always up for a good game of cards or watching the Zephyr Bulldogs play some six-man football.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife Cherrie Beth, parents James and Elanor Spearman, brother Buddy Spearman, sisters Wilma Burkett, and Juanita Pettis, in-laws James and Wanda Thompson, and great-grandson Tye Pruitt.
Charles is survived by his daughter Theresa Greene (Jason) of Brownwood, Chuck Spearman (Samantha) of Zephyr, 10 grandkids, Nick Spearman (Amber) of Brownwood, Stetson Spearman of Brackettville, Britni Hodo (Cody) of Maypearl, Tamara Pruitt (Jason) of Midland, Shaylor Bailey (Katie) of Dublin, Jamie Twomey (Aj) of Midland, Mercedes Greene (Chris) of Bangs, Destiny Smith (David) of Missouri, Christen Spearman (Seth) of Early, Dylon Niethamer of Early.18 Great-grandkids, Kenzie, Avery, Brooklyn, Whitney, Kameron, Kolt, Legacie, Remi, Andie, Cody, Trevor, Addison, Dixie, Emmit, Chevy, Elijah, Ella, and Jaxton. 2 brothers Jerry Spearman (Barbara) of Brownwood, Wayne Spearman of Canyon, lifelong friend Dennis Benson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Solaris Hospice, and his nurses Renda and Carmen. A very special thank you to his great-granddaughter Mckenzie Spearman and granddaughter-in-law Amber Spearman for taking such great care of Pie this past year.
